Juliet Fraser

Soprano Juliet Fraser specialises in the gnarly edges of contemporary classical music. She maintains a busy schedule of international performances as a soloist, regularly performing with ensembles such as Musikfabrik, Klangforum Wien, Ensemble Modern and Quatuor Bozzini, and as a duo with pianist Mark Knoop.

She is an active commissioner of new repertoire and has worked particularly closely with composers Laurence Crane, Pascale Criton, Bernhard Lang, Cassandra Miller and Rebecca Saunders.

Juliet is artistic director of the eavesdropping festival in London and programme director of VOICEBOX, a programme for advanced singers specialising in contemporary vocal performance. In 2023 she was awarded an honorary Doctorate of Music by Southampton University.
